To all, Cadets

The C.O.s of the base were approached today by a retired Army Colonel that volunteers his time at the Veterans Home located in the Dalles. Currently there are about 115 veterans residing on the premises. Most of them have families located far away and do not receive many visitors over the holidays. The CPO Mess is conducting a fund raiser to provide gifts to the coasties that reside at the home.

I am soliciting to see if any units want to donate items such as goodies, signed Christmas cards, etc. A couple of the CPOs will be taking the items on the 21st of DEC to the home. If you have cadets that you think would benefit from the experience I can take a few with me. If you have any questions please let me know.
